VORES TALERE

Jean-Francois Manzoni, President, IMD

Agility and learning in the C-suite: So necessary, and yet so hard!

IMD’s new President Jean-Francois Manzoni has been directing leadership development programmes for the world’s best companies for over 25 years in over 30 countries. During this session, he will share what his and others’ research tells us about why managers – especially senior managers – find it so hard to develop new behaviours, and what they and their organisations can do to improve their chances of success.

It is increasingly well accepted that the best predictor of executives’ future success is their ability to stay agile and keep learning over time.  As a result, organisations have been investing significant time, money and energy in supporting executives’ lifelong leadership development.  The good news is: Leaders are increasingly well informed; they often know what they should be doing. Unfortunately, they typically find it hard to implement this new knowledge and instead keep repeating habitual patterns of behaviour.  Adding to the complexity is of course the increased focus on emerging technologies that not only alter business models and value creation, but also the way we work and interact with each other.

Skolesamling 2:  Fremtidens Entrepreneurielle Spirit

Skolesamling 3: Fremtidens Globale Kompetencer

Human Capital Analytics – Stop guessing, start knowing

Tremendous advancements in information technology, disruption of the main business processes and growing stakeholder expectations for economic gains pose significant challenges to the ways you manage your people, but also offer tremendous opportunities for reinventing people management for organizational value creation. To rise to this occasion and meet these higher expectations many “traditional HR legacy” mind-sets that may have been true in the past need to evolve to modern realities.

In this session, Professor Dana Minbaeva and leading HR practitioners will provide you with concrete examples of how this is done in organizations that decided integrate human capital analytics in their everyday people management.

Charlotte Biil, cand.jur & MPA

Jesper Christensen

Fit for fremtiden
kl.10.30 – 12.45:
Mød fremtidens medarbejdere!

1. Malthe Gaarden

Venlig hilsen,
Anna

3. Eduardo Rodriguez

Eduardo Rodriguez is an IT Software Engineer specializing in Business Administration and Innovation in Healthcare, with more than 3 years’ experiences working in the healthcare sector as Developer and Team Leader in different hospitals in Spain. His exposure to different countries, with the ability of speaking 3 languages, has contributed to being curious, observant and eager to improve his surroundings and himself, together with the people around me.

Talk:
Eduardo Rodriguez will discuss how companies can support the improvement and innovation of healthcare and its system (an example of a Web medical image viewer project will be provided), and what impact would these improvements have for those companies.

4. Daniel Skov Andersen

23 år. Bachelor i HA Almen. I gang med kandidat i Applied Economics and Finance. Udvekslingsophold i Singapore. Sommerskole på Harvard. Arbejdet inden for bankindustrien og råvarehandel. Formand for CBS Students i 2016.

Talk:

7. Sara Vardi

13. Nienke Tichlaar

I am an entrepreneur with an upbeat personality. I am specialised in advising large corporations in legal structures, partnerships and real-estate transactions with a focus on health care, sharing economy, renewable energy, culture and education. Apart from my career, I am a passionate semi-professional musician in both the classical and jazz music scene.

Talk:
With an explosion of business schools and wannabe managers, the top management of big companies is getting crowded. Big companies are more and more run by top managers with knowledge of management but not necessarily with knowledge of the product or the service the company is selling. The high performers with that knowledge are not always interested in management positions although their insight on board level might be vital for the existence of the company. How can companies give them decision power and interesting positions in order to utilize their knowledge and prevent them from running to the competitor?

14. Ankit Shrivastava

Seasoned professional within energy industry with expertise in project management, technical consulting, business development and stakeholder management. Energy is my passion and solving today’s energy problems through technology and innovation is what excites me. Leveraging my technical and commercial capabilities, I am aiming to take up strategic role to drive change and help businesses grow sustainably.

Talk:
I wish to discuss the challenges of becoming innovation leader within the established organization. Innovation is not just about a new product or a modification to an existing one. It is about creating value through new business opportunity. How can leaders make new businesses over and over again within existing large/ established organization? How can we develop people within the organization who have the spirit and vision to become ‘corporate entrepreneurs?’ What kind of cultural and organizational change should the current corporations undergo, in order for them to provide the necessary change impetus and support to innovation.

15. Gianluca Aliquo

Currently a full-time MBA student at CBS. Prior a consultant with a successful background in financial analysis, project management and process improvement. Talk:
Interested in talking about the relation between FinTech and Big Data.

16. Luca Piccardi

Trilingual professional with extensive experience in contract administration and management of major onshore and offshore turnkey EPC (engineering, procurement, construction) projects.

Talk:
I wish to discuss the 4.0 industrial revolution relating to the relationship between automated work and the effects it will have on employment. Additionally, we can debate how effectively corporate social responsibility can be tackled efficiently by companies in a combined and common framework rather than having each and every company dealing with sustainability issues as separate islands.

17. Mickey Hung

Before studying at CBS, Mickey was accountable for over 10 Asian and African markets and spearheaded the Sustainability and Public Affairs strategy to secure a favorable business environment for Carlsberg to fuel rapid expansion in Asia.

Talk:
Social media is ubiquitous; it’s not surprising to see your grandma might own a Facebook account these days. Corporations are keen to tap into the burgeoning use of social media as a communication channel to engage their employees, especially the millennials, and to tell the corporate story in a more candid and authentic way. In doing so, managers have to constantly rethink their audience and messaging, while striking a balance between transparency and control of information.

18. Otto W. Ingstrup

I am 34 years old and from Denmark. Prior to starting the FT-MBA I was working in the financial sector in Denmark for 9 years – in which the last 5 years was as a corporate advisor.

Talk:
I want to discuss how Danish companies, working in an international setup, can become better at hiring foreigners based in Denmark. Today I see and hear a lot about (highly educated) foreigners coming to Denmark having difficulties in finding jobs. I believe that lots of valuable human resources are wasted. If Danish companies become better to integrate and utilize the foreign workforce it could be of great value for these companies, for the foreigners in Denmark and also for Danish economy as a whole.

19. Wynne Lewis

Wynne Lewis is a full-time MBA student at CBS who specializes in product marketing strategy, social entrepreneurship, and innovation management. Coming from the New York tech start-up scene she is passionate about emerging tech and creative business solutions that create value while fulfilling social and environmental needs.

Talk:
We held a forum at my last company on the topic of worker happiness, so I am looking forward to sharing the thoughts of myself and my peers in the tech/startup industry: “What many young Americans, like myself, are looking for in an employer”.

20. Tobias Sebastian Stadler

Tobias Sebastian Stadler is a full time MBA student at CBS. As a mechanical engineer, he has collected extensive work experience throughout the value chain in the power and automation industry in Oceania, Asia and Europe.

Talk:
How Industry 4.0 shape employment requirements: New technologies are being developed at an increased speed and revolutionize established industries. What sort of specialists are needed in the future to keep up with the pace of this transformation towards fully automated production processes and how are firms addressing these needs in their strategies?

21. Cebisa Khanya Joy Vokwana-Shabalala

I am a scientist by academic training, however, I started my career as a strategy analyst in Deloitte Consulting Johannesburg. For the past 6 years, I worked as a Senior Strategy consultant for Capgemini Consulting based in Amsterdam, where I had the opportunity to work with different organisations (Telenor Denmark, FedEx EMEA, Philips and Vodafone Germany to mention but a few) across Europe to define their differentiation strategies.

Talk:
McKinsey released a study in 2015 that quantitatively outlines the business case for diversity. Companies that were gender and ethnically diverse were more likely to financially outperform the bottom quartile by 15 and 35%, respectively. However, despite this being the case, companies are struggling with addressing the notion of diversity. Women in the UK, USA and Brazil still represent only 12, 16 and 6% of the top firms, respectively. Do you believe that gender diversity improves organisational performance? If so, then why is it that organisations are unable to walk the talk and time and time again give disappointing results with regards to gender equality?

22. Xu Zinan

Zinan Xu is a master student from the MSc in Business Administration in Innovation in Health Care. In addition, Xu Zinan works in a M&A consulting company which does business between China and Europe.

Talk:
My particular advantage is that I am very familiar with Chinese language and culture. Consequently, I wonder how the business collaboration will develop between Denmark and China in the future. In addition, more specifically, if there will be some new opportunities for Chinese students.

23. Miguel Largo

Miguel Largo is a pharmacist originally holding a BSc and MSc in Pharmaceutical Sciences by the Complutense University of Madrid, the Master was in collaboration with University of Gent, Belgium. Though his professional experiences Miguel Largo orients his future professional career towards business development and he moved to Denmark to do a MSc in BioBusiness at CBS. He is especially interested in the life science industry, with a focus on process optimization through data driven models.

Talk:
How can structured methodologies of data retrieval combined with AI can improve the business processes of companies in Denmark, as well as future applications of this in a highly regulated industry like life science? Based on my master thesis I notice a huge potential of data driven approaches to decision making, optimization of organizational structures, etc. Therefore, I like to discuss with Industry experts different approaches like creating general guidelines or data driven models that could be used by Danish companies.

24. Angelica Rud Petersen
