Executive Vice President, A.P. Møller-Maersk

Membership of the Danish Management Society (VL) is open to active executives in commerce, industry and service trades, as well as executives in the professions, public administration, institutions and organisations. An executive is defined as a person taking part in a company’s top-level decision-making process.

To qualify for membership, persons working in a profession – accountants, lawyers and corporate consultants – must be involved in the top-level decision-making process of the company where he or she is engaged as a partner, shareholder, executive board member or director.

How to become a member?

You can become a member of the Society by receiving an invitation from a VL Group based on a referral from a VL-member. It is also possible to contact the Secretariat and submit an unsolicited application for inclusion on a list of prospective members. The individual VL Groups themselves are, however, responsible for reaching a decision concerning the inclusion of new members. You must be a member of the Danish Management Society to be able to join a VL Group.

Society membership fee

The Society charges an annual basic membership fee determined by the Annual General Meeting. The fee entitles the member to attend the yearly meeting (held in conjunction with the Annual General Meeting) and east/west meetings and also entitles the member to a login password for the VL-intranet, a subscription to the newsletter and assistance from the Secretariat.

VL Group member fee

The individual VL Group can charge a group membership fee which varies from one group to another, and which is collected by the treasurer of the individual VL Group.
